David Payr is an Austrian photographer working at the intersection of editorial and commercial photography. He studied art and photography at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. His work is characterized by a clear visual language and a focus on the relationships between people, places, and systems.
His editorial clients include The New York Times, Monocle, Konfekt Magazine, Esquire, Geo, Playboy, Die Zeit, brand eins, and art Magazin, among others. On the commercial side, he works with cultural institutions, agencies, and international brands such as Leica, Belvedere Museum, ÖBB, Wiener Symphoniker, Wien Tourismus, Winkreative, and Rail Cargo Austria.
