David Payr is an Austrian editorial and commercial photographer. He studied art and photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. His work is defined by a distinct visual language that explores people, places, and the connections between them.
His editorial work has appeared in publications such as The New York Times, Monocle, Konfekt Magazine, Esquire China, Geo, Playboy, Die Zeit, brand eins, and art Magazin, among others. Commercial collaborations include cultural institutions, agencies, and international brands such as Leica, the Belvedere Museum, ÖBB, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and Wien Tourismus.
